Strategic Carbon Founders Travel to Jordan After Sponsoring Two MOUs With the Royal Hashemite Court and Texas A&M Corpus Christi

Strategic Carbon’s Founders Dr. Richard Coffin and Kevin Stickney traveled to Amman, Jordan for four days in early June to meet with the Royal Hashemite Court’s Secretary General and several of the nation’s leading academic, science, and engineering officials. SC recently introduced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Kingdom of Jordan and Texas A&M Corpus Christi to develop a comprehensive academic program between the two entities.

SC will develop the program, designed to foster a robust STEM-oriented curriculum focused on the design, engineering, manufacturing, and testing of commercial-quality autonomous unmanned vehicles (AUVs) that will help serve Jordan’s safety, infrastructure, agricultural, water, energy, and military needs. The program aims to enrich foreign study opportunities for both Jordanian and A&M students while seeding a highly trained domestic workforce in Jordan.

Strategic Carbon management also signed an MOU with the Royal Hashemite Court that authorizes SC to identify, qualify, and introduce global AUV designers and manufacturers to Jordanian officials for possible roles in a new AUV technology center in Jordan. SC will select these companies based on their technical, economic, and academic strengths. Each company will be required to fully support and participate in the program’s learning, internship, and cooperative education goals.
